BenRiach distillery has been producing whisky in the heart of Speyside since 1898. The Twelve is triple cask matured for a minimum of twelve years in three distinct cask types: sherry casks, bourbon barrels, and port casks. Each parcel of whisky develops its own character during maturation before being expertly married together by Master Blender Rachel Barrie, creating a whisky of layered complexity that is greater than the sum of its parts.

Tasting Notes

The appearance is a warm golden bronze. The nose is full of rich maple honey, cocoa, and baked forest fruit. On the palate, maraschino cherry, baked orange, and hazelnut lead the way, with a lingering sultana and spiced mocha finish that is long, warming, and deeply satisfying. Best enjoyed neat or with a splash of water to open up the fruit and spice aromas.
